Karly does not like her hair combed, brushed, or anything. Karly screams and cries when I put her hair in a ponytail or anything. She will literally sit around for a half hour with her shoulders scrunched up and scream to me "it is killing me". Well all the drama was killing me so we decided to get her hair cut. The problem was Karly was having no parts of going to the hair dresser, she does not like the hair dresser. (I swear she is my child)
Karly idolizes Kylie so I had to start the hair cut process with pulling out old pictures of Kylie with a bob and show them to Kylie and keep saying, "Wow, Kylie, I loved your hair like that". After a few times Karly was receptive to the idea. I also told her if her hair cut, no more ponytails. Well we made the appointment and off we went to get her hair cut.
The girl asked Karly if she wanted her hair washed in the bowl. She screamed no and started stomping around. Kylie said "Yes, yes, I want my hair washed, I love it". Karly than said "No, it is my haircut Kylie and you are not going to the bowl, I am". I think the only reason Karly got into the chair was to make Kylie mad. So she got her hair washed and loved it. Kylie was pouting around that she wanted her hair washed (we can't cut it until dance is over for the ponytail factor). So they washed her hair too. After her haircut she looked awesome. It is such a good look on her and all is well.
