First Time on an Airplane

I was excited to take the girls with my mom to Disney but to be honest I was not excited about the plane. The girls had never been on an airplane and I could envision all of these horrible scenarios with them (well Karly - who has a mind of her own). To make matters worse, Karly had an ear infection and a chest infection earlier in the week and I had some stuff going on, so we both needed to take Sudafed in addition to our other medications to open up so our ears wouldn't burst (talk about pressure).

A car service picked us up and the girls were very excited. We got through security and everything was fine. It was so cute to see them looking out the big window watching the airplanes take off and land. They didn't know what to expect. Our plane ended up being delayed which got a couple "I am tired of waiting" and "How much longer" responses. Once we boarded though, the girls were fine. They were so excited. When we took off and the planes starts going fast, they both were screaming with delight.

On the plane they were perfect. They played their DS's, colored, Kylie wrote about the trip and Karly even fell asleep. When it was over, I thought this wasn't that bad. They couldn't believe we had just flown above the clouds to another state.

Kylie made it through security, ready to get ready for the plane

Karly made it through security, although she touched the sides so had to do it twice :)

watching planes in amazement

getting ready for take off - not sure what to expect

as we are taking off - Karly was so excited, says it is like a big ride

This is awesome - Kylie was so excited

Karly pulled out the airline magazine and was looking through it for a while - too funny

arts and crafts kept us quiet and busy

Too much excitement for Karly to handle.
