Valentine's Day Crunch

Who knew Valentine's Day would be so time consuming. Well getting ready for school is. We got a late start doing our Valentine cards this year. Karly attends two preschools so she needed to do two sets. This year since she can write on her own now, I had her write out all her Valentine's herself. She wrote who the Valentine was going to and her name. She did an awesome job and even wrote out Happy Valentine's Day on the Teacher pictures she made. She amazes me that she just turned 4 and writes. She picked it all up on her own too.

Kylie did her Valentine's too, she wanted Camp Rock valentines so the boys would feel included. I saw in a magazine this I-pod Valentine, so we made those too and attached them to the Camp Rock Valentine and gave each kid a free ice cream coupon from Friendly's as well. The i-pod Valentine turned into a 3 hour project since we had to cut each strip of paper to put over the box of candy hearts and than each circle and rectangle, do the writing, and tape it all together. It was supposed to have string and hershey kisses for the earphones, but they were getting all tangled so we just did that for the teachers.

On top of that I agreed to make cupcakes for both of the girls parties. I wanted to go very creative but of course waited till the last minute and made them at 11pm at night so I lost my tube of glitter gel and had to compromise.

I hope the girls have a blast at their school parties. Valentine's Day rocks.
