I love Christmas. I love the sheer joy of children when they wake up, eyes aren't even open and see presents. I know that is not all Christmas is about, but when you have small children, it is part of the fun. I can remember being little and that feeling when you woke up. I get just as excited as my kids. This Christmas, Kylie woke up first, which never happens. She came in the bedroom and said "Mom, oh my gosh, there are SO many presents, EVERYWHERE". Santa even remembered my stocking, it is overflowing, oh my gosh". She was shaking with excitement. I proceeded out of bed to the top of the staircase to see everything. I don't think her smile could get any bigger. We got back in my bed to wait for Karly and Kylie just kept talking and squealing with delight, it was very cute. At one point in the bed she was just bouncing, literally up and down. About a half hour later (which must have seemed like an eternity for Kylie), Karly came running in, "Mom, there are presents, Santa remembered me". It was so cute. This year, Kylie was into everything she got, Karly just would unwrap and toss the box, not even looking inside, just wanted to go to the next. Everything was "Just what I wanted" and "This is awesome". It was a wonderful morning. They were so busy that I usually make them chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast, but they just had a donut. They ended up playing the whole day. It was a wonderful Christmas. Here are some pictures of our great day.
