As a little girl I remember going to Zern's and my grandmom and dad used to buy me stacks of receipts that waitresses use in a restaurant. I could play for hours with them. Well my girls love to play restaurant and kitchen so when I was in Staples, I saw the pads and bought some for the girls. What a hit. They have been playing non-stop. I love to listen to them and watch them just play, being creative and creating their own little world. Moments like that, make me miss the innocence of childhood for myself but make my heart swell for them, enjoying the simple pleasures of pretend play.
