This is the third year that Kylie has been in a dance recital and I still get those butterflies in my stomach when I see her on the stage. See Kylie has been singing and dancing since she could walk. I joke to people that 16 hours of the day she spends dancing and singing, but it really isn't a joke. She makes everything into a dance routine. Brushing her teeth, she does a whole production. It is in her blood.
This year she had 2 routines to do. It was a little nerve wracking for me as a mom as to how is she going to get her costume on, how is she going to do backstage. For her, nothing but bliss and excitement. I asked her if she was nervous, she looked at me and said "Nope, I am a dancer, they can't get nervous". The curtain opened and she did WONDERFUL. She didn't miss a beat and you couldn't wipe the smile off her face. She shined on stage.
